The primary purpose of the West Central Intergroup of Maryland, Inc. (WCI) is, like the individual Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group, to carry the AA message. Intergroups are established to serve individual groups in their region with carrying out certain functions which are common to all groups, and which are best handled by a centralized office. These functions are described in some detail in the General Service Office publication: AA Guidelines-Central or Intergroup Offices (PDF). West Central Intergroup (WCI) provides services to the AA groups of Frederick, Carroll, and Montgomery Counties Maryland, USA.

Twelth Step Call List Volunteers

If you, or members of your group, are interested in volunteering to take 12th step calls, a quarterly training is held for those that would like to participate. Email: 12th Step Chairperson for more information. They always in need for volunteers to take 12 step calls. We provide this this signup sheet for groups to pass around to encourage folks to participate. They can be returned by dropping off at the WCI Office or at the monthly Council Meeting, or a scan or picture can be sent to chair@westcentralaa.org.

Correction & Treatment Commitments

Volunteers are currently taking meetings into Correction and Treatment facilities in the Frederick area. There are many time slots available and Correction & Treatment Committee (C&T) is always looking for men and women volunteers to fill them. Click here to learn more.

Biennual Group Inventory

The Biennial Inventory is a opportunity for your home group / individual AA members to provide feedback to the West Central Intergroup so we can provide services most effectively to groups and individuals in this region.
