The Biennial Inventory is an opportunity for your home group / individual AA members to provide feedback to the West Central Intergroup so we can provide services most effectively to groups and individuals in this region.

Our Bylaws state that the primary purpose of the West Central Intergroup of Maryland, Inc. (WCI) is, like the individual Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group, to carry the AA message and serve the groups in our area by carrying out certain functions that are handled best by a central office. These functions are described in some detail in the General Service Office publication: AA Guidelines-Central or Intergroup Offices (PDF).
And that WCI shall conduct an Intergroup Council Inventory, to determine whether the Corporation is fulfilling its primary purpose (as described in Article II), during June of each even calendar year. The Inventory process shall be coordinated by the Vice Chairperson.

Therefore, WCI will conduct a biennial inventory this year. This is an opportunity for the groups to determine what WCI is doing well and what needs to be improved.
This year’s inventory meeting will be held on Saturday September 12th from 9 to noon at Trinity United Methodist Church located at 703 W. Patrick Street, Frederick, Maryland.
